Electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG)
results help monitor a patient’s condition.
YOU’VE PROBABLY HEARD electrocardiograms referred to as EKGs or ECGs. Simply, it is a noninvasive test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. At Grayson Home Health, we coordinate care with your primary physician and/or cardiologist. You can be assured that we employ the most experienced personnel adept at positioning the leads (sensory devices) to achieve the most accurate results. The painless procedure measures activity in the heart – rhythm, strength, timing of electrical signals. From this test, your loved one’s physician can determine things like blood flow, regularity of heartbeat, and pumping capacity.
These and other measurements are helpful in diagnosing and treating heart problems. Devices used to accurately monitor patients are portable and easily adaptable to home use.
